PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a crude drug having slight side effect on human health as a therapeutic/prophylactic agent for intractable diabetes. ;SOLUTION: The subject preparation contains at least one kind of extract (including active compound(s) therein) among those afforded from Inulae flos, Daucus carota L. and Atractylodis lanceae rhizoma as crude drugs, respectively. The other objective therapeutic/prophylactic method for diabetes comprises using the above preparation. Thereby, this preparation affords effects in the prevention and treatment of diabetes, or in the prophylactic/therapeutic method for diabetes.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2001,JPO
