The invention discloses a novel polypeptide, mouse soluble adenylyl cyclase 25, the polynucleotide encoding such polypeptide and the method of production thereof by DNA recombinant techniques. Methods of using the polypeptide for treating various diseases such as spermic diseases, various tumors, embryonic developmental disorder, growth developmental disturbance, inflammations, immune diseases, hemopathy, HIV infection and the like are also disclosed. Furthermore, the invention discloses the antagonists of the polypeptide and the effects thereof. The use of the polynucleotide encoding the novel mouse soluble adenylyl cyclase 25 is also disclosed.
