The pressure-sensitive adhesive composition of the present invention comprises 50 to 90% by weight of an acrylic pressure-sensitive adhesive, 2.5 to 50% by weight of a polyhydric alcohol-containing liquid component and 0.01 to 10% by weight of 1 to trivalent metal salts of C ₈ to C ₁₈ hydrocarbon group-containing fatty acids. It has good adhesiveness, cohesiveness, and moisture permeability, and can add an adhesive (medicine, etc.) to prepare an adhesive pharmaceutical composition having the above-mentioned performance, and apply the adhesive composition or the adhesive pharmaceutical composition on a support to obtain moisture permeability. This excellent adhesive tape or an adhesive tape formulation excellent in moisture permeability and transdermal absorption of a drug can be produced.
