An immersion lamp for the excitation of photochemical reactions

A lamp for exciting a photochemical reaction using UV radiation, comprises a UV radiating unit located in an immersible tube which has a closed lower end and an upper end with a closure cap through which electrical connections pass to at least two electrodes. The electrodes (7,8) are connected to primary plug elements (11,12) which are insulated from each other in a lower holder (13) inside the tube (1) and are connected to secondary plug elements (15,16) insulated from each other in an upper holder. Use - The lamp is used to excite photochemical reactions using UV radiation. Advantage - The UV radiating unit is simple to replace.
