Process for applying conducting pathways to plastic surfaces comprises applying a melt (5) acting in the cold state as conducting pathways onto the plastic surface, and applying an insulating material (4) to the melt. An Independent claim is also included for a device for applying the conducting pathways to the plastic surfaces comprising a first heating and processing pistol (2) for applying the melt to the plastic surface; and a second heating and processing pistol (3) for applying the insulating material to the melt (5). Preferred Features: A wire (1) made of a low melting alloy is introduced into the first pistol. The two pistols are fixed to a guide arm which can be moved by an actuator.
