PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a finely particulate rare earth-activated alkaline earth metal fluorohalide-based photostimulable phosphor having a uniform particle diameter distribution with a high productivity and to provide a high-sensitivity and high-image quality radiation image conversion panel using the rare earth- activated alkaline earth metal fluorohalide-based photostimulable phosphor.;SOLUTION: This method for producing the rare earth-activated alkaline earth metal fluorohalide-based photostimulable phosphor is characterized by removing a solvent from a solution at ≥3.3 mol/L barium concentration in a reactional mother liquor and thereby obtaining a photostimulable phosphor precursor in the method for producing the oxygen-introduced rare earth-activated alkaline earth metal fluorohalide-based photostimulable phosphor represented by general formula (I): Ba(1-x)M2(x)FBr(y)I(1-y): aM1, bLn, cO in the liquid phase.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2002,JPO
