PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem of the conventional art wherein trouble is apt to be generated on a scanner mirror, noise is generated, gaps are generated between pixels on a photosensitive member, and improvement of positional precision of a pixel array on the photosensitive member has a limit. SOLUTION: A plurality of lasers (which have apertures 170) are formed at equal intervals at prescribed positions on at least two main scanning lines on a semiconductor substrate 100. The respective lasers have prescribed beam diameters and output laser lights which have no gaps in the main scanning direction by taking different positions in the main scanning direction. As a result, a two-dimensional surface light emitting laser array which is so constituted that pixel lines having no gaps are formed on a main scanning line on an image forming surface can be obtained. A laser beam scanner and laser beam recording equipment and method are constituted by using the two-dimensional surface light emitting laser array.
