"PROCESS FOR HYDROGENATION OF DOUBLE LINKS ETHYLENICALLY UNSATURATED IN P POLYMERS, WATER POLYMER DISPERSION, AND WATER COATING COMPOSITION". The invention relates to a selective hydrogenation process of ethylenically unsaturated double bonds in polymers (P) by reacting an aqueous dispersion of at least one polymer (P) with hydrogen in the presence of at least one hydrogenation catalyst comprising at least a transition metal, selected from rhodium and / or ruthenium, and at least one non-ionic phosphorus compound, which can form a coordinated bond with a transition metal. The process of the invention is further characterized by the integration of the hydrogenation catalyst in the aqueous polymer dispersion (P) without the addition of a solvent. The invention also relates to aqueous dispersions of hydrogenated polymers (P) obtained according to the process of the invention and to the coating agents containing such dispersions.
