The picket (1) has a height adjustable height marking section (3) provided on a clamp (4) comprising a strip of flexible material. The elongated body (2) of the picket extends through two holes in the strip and the height markings are present on one of the ends (8, 9) of the strip. An Independent claim is also included for the clamp.
