PURPOSE: Provided are a novel Bacillus sp. CMB26 strain, a production of lipopeptides using the CMB26 strain, and a germicide of plant fungal pathogens containing the CMB26 strain and/or the lipopeptides, thereby preventing ecosystem destruction due to overuse of synthetic chemicals. CONSTITUTION: The novel Bacillus sp. CMB26 strain(KFCC-11289) produces lipopeptides which destroy fungi mycelia or spores highly. Its 16s rRNA is characterized by: (a) the nucleotide sequence between 1-320 nt has 99.6% of homology with Bacillus subtilis, and the nucleotide sequence between 321-1501 nt has 99.7% of homology with Bacillus thuringiensis; (b) total nucleotide sequence thereof has 95.6% and 96.7% of homologies with Bacillus subtilis and Bacillus cereus group, respectively; and (c) antifungal lipopeptides produced thereby show molecular weights of 1081, 1073, 1067 and1095 Da, and 1463, 1499, 1477, 1485 and 1491 Da. The germicide containing the CMB26 strain and/or the lipopeptides prevents and controls powdery mildew, gummy stem blight, white rot, wilt, anthrax, gray mold rot, late blight, etc.
