The present invention relates to an apparatus and method capable of simultaneously and continuously monitoring solute rejection and membrane potential over time for membrane filtration in order to observe the progress of membrane fouling. In particular, the present invention detects the potential difference according to the change in the micropressure difference between the upstream and downstream sides of the membrane at any time during membrane filtration to measure the membrane potential and at the same time the solute excretion rate determined by the change in the concentration of particles, and the permeate flux ( The present invention provides a membrane filtration apparatus and method for continuously and simultaneously measuring permeate flux.;In the method for determining the progress of membrane fouling, technical advances have been realized to be possible not only by the conventional flux flux measurement method but also by the membrane potential measurement method. In addition, although the conventional apparatus can only partially determine the degree of membrane contamination at a given time while continuously replacing the membrane at regular time intervals, the apparatus and method of the present invention have no disturbance in membrane filtration with an initially mounted membrane. It is possible to continuously monitor the progress of membrane fouling with time of membrane filtration. Accordingly, the present invention provides specific indicators for determining the occurrence and development of membrane fouling and the timing of membrane replacement.
