METHOD FOR PRODUCING AGGREGATE OF BLAST FURNACE SLAG USING FLY ASH AND BLAST FURNACE SLAG AGGREGATE

PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing an aggregate of blast furnace slag using fly ash, in which the composition of fly ash is adjusted so that the fly ash is easily melted and the fly ash is dispersed in molten blast furnace slag uniformly and melted, and by which the aggregate of the blast furnace slag, capable of being used as a high added-value raw material for cement, a bottoming, or a reclamation material in civil engineering can be produced, and to provide the aggregate of blast furnace slag. PSOLUTION: The method for producing the aggregate of blast furnace slag using fly ash comprises adding a CaO-containing material to the fly ash and mixing them so as to increase the basicity of the resulting mixture, then adding the resulting mixture to molten slag discharged from a blast furnace so as to melt the mixture, and cooling the molten slag. The granulated aggregate of blast furnace slag is obtained by adding the CaO-containing material to the fly ash and mixing them so as to increase the basicity of the resulting mixture, then adding the resulting mixture to the molten slag discharged from the blast furnace so as to melt the mixture, cooling the molten slag, and crushing/granulating the cooled slag.
