PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a material for a soil cover, capable of preventing weeds from growing without affecting the growth of a planted material, and facilitating the construction even if the shape of the construction site is complex, and further to provide a method for laying the soil cover.;SOLUTION: This material for the soil cover includes 5-35 pts.wt. hydraulic cement and 5-50 pts.wt. inorganic fine aggregate having ≤1 mm particle diameter based on 100 pts.wt. granules comprising an inorganic fiber assembly. The soil cover is laid by mixing 100 pts.wt. material for the soil cover with 100-500 pts.wt. water, laying the resultant mixture so that the surface density is 0.5-10 kg/m², and pressing the laid mixture.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
