PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a medium for recording a color transformation program, a method for generating a color transformation table, a medium for recording color transformation table data, a color transformation device, a color transformation method and a color transformation table that can obtain a preferred color image by more effectively utilizing a color gamut of an image device. SOLUTION: Color gamut shift processing is conducted to obtain mapping to extend a color gamut shape of a 1st image device so as to be close to a color gamut shape of a 2nd image device, and color gamut extension processing is conducted to obtain mapping for the prescribed area after the color gamut shift processing into the color gamut of the 2nd image device. Then color transformation is executed based on the correspondence between the color gamut of the 1st image device defined by the processing and the color gamut of the 2nd image device. Further, finer adjustment can be performed by defining the correspondency by each color gamut when the image device can use a plurality of color gamut values. Thus, each color gamut of the image device is more effectively used to obtain a preferred color image output.
