The treatment system involves the influence of treatment points on the body, such as preferably acupuncture points and/or meridians in accordance with traditional acupuncture. The system is provided with a computer (1), to which a treatment device is connected. This device emits a treatment signal under the influence of a control signal generated by the computer. The treatment signal is a light signal generated by at least one monochromatic light source (4,5,6). The treatment device (3) has light-bunching facilities (7), such as light conductors, lenses and/or mirrors, so that the signal transmitted is in the form of a light bunch. A housing (7) encloses the at least one light source and has at least one opening (9), through which the light is emitted. The at least one light source incorporates an LED.
