Nut comprising hexagonal outer nut and cylindrical inner nut, has cooperating tangential spaces and raised profiles on inside and outside of outer and inner nuts

The inner nut (2) has two diametrically opposed tangential spaces (6) in its outer surface extending at a slight angle. Two access ports (5) are provided on one side of the inner nut. The cylindrical-shaped inner surface of the outer nut (1) has two diametrically opposed raised profiles (3) which can engage with the tangential spaces in the inner nut. The inner nut has a screw thread (4) and fits snugly inside the outer nut, which can not be removed from the inner nut once the composite nut has been screwed into place, without seriously damaging the nut and threaded object to which it is secured. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) Nut with three evenly distributed tangential spaces and three access ports in the outer surface of the inner nut and three evenly distributed raised profiles on the inner surface of the outer nut; and (2) Nut with n evenly distributed tangential spaces and n access ports in the outer surface of the inner nut and n evenly distributed raised profiles on the inner surface of the outer nut.
