PURPOSE: A method for preparing aluminum sulfate, aluminum sulfate, a method for improving the yield of aluminum sulfate, an industrial composition containing the aluminum sulfate, and a drainage treatment apparatus are provided, to improve the yield aluminum sulfate by employing acetic acid. CONSTITUTION: The aluminum sulfate is prepared by reacting sulfuric acid with aluminum hydroxide in the presence of at least one between acetic acid and peroxide. Preferably the content of the acetic acid is 1-3,000 ppm; and the sulfuric acid is 50-90 wt% concentrated sulfuric acid. Preferably the peroxide is hydrogen peroxide. The industrial composition comprises the aluminum sulfate and is used as a drainage treating agent.
