Monitoring of the body temperature of person using a fitness or training machine using a contact-free temperature sensor arranged above the eyebrows and linked by cable or wirelessly to an evaluation unit

Method for contact-free measurement of body temperature whereby a sensor (S) is arranged at a fixed distance to the eyebrows. A measurement signal is transmitted via a cable or using telemetry to an evaluation unit. The sensor measures temperature intermittently and the evaluation unit determines a temperature gradient. The evaluation unit detects exceeding of a threshold value and issues a corresponding warning and or switches off the training device or switches it to a different mode. An Independent claim is also included for a method in which the temperature measurements are compared with a reference curve and when a reference valve is exceeded issues a corresponding warning and or switches off the training device or switches it to a different mode.
