PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tuning fork type oscillator of satisfactory balance between leg parts, an oscillation gyroscope using the fork, an electronic equipment using the same, and a manufacturing method for the tuning fork type oscillator.;SOLUTION: This tuning fork type oscillator 10 is provided with a vibration part 13 having one-side main face and the other-side main face, a base part 14 provided in a longitudinal-directional one-end side of the other-side main face of the vibration part 13, and a slit 15 for splitting the vibration part 13 into the two leg parts 16, 17 for constituting the tuning fork to be lateral-symmetric in a width direction along a longitudinal direction.
