PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent forgery by alteration, defacement or the like, to authenticate the propriety of a personal identification medium for an owner of the subject by electronic authentication. PSOLUTION: An application is prepared to be provided with an face image formed in bit-map-like for specifying the subject and a two-dimensional code prepared based on the face image. The face image in the prepared application is read by a scanner 10. The two-dimensional code in the prepared application is also read by a two-dimensional code reader 20. The two read informations are substituted with an authentication codes in a control part 33 to determine the result about consistency in an electronic level in a comparison part 34 and to conduct authentication.
