PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an editor for easily preparing a control program. ;SOLUTION: The graphic editor displays a part list 43 on an editor screen for each equipment constituting a system to be controlled, and arranges parts on a base screen 42 according to an operation for moving the arbitrary parts from the part list 43 to the base screen 42. Then, a part setting dialog box for promoting the input of information such as the address of the input and output point of control data is displayed for each part, and information inputted to the dialog box is stored. Afterwards, the information stored for each part is successively read according to an order in which the parts are clicked, and a control step related with the data input and output is described based on the information, and a step table is prepared.
