The flush system has a cistern (10), a filler valve (12) and a discharge valve (14). The valves are positioned above each other and centrally in the cistern. The discharge valve has a actuator element (26), which is curved twice in opposite directions and has an anti-turning safety device (28). The top end of the element is fitted into a guide (30), which is fastened to the cistern. The element may be formed as an overflow pipe. The discharge valve has an end support (18), which is fitted in a support pipe at the cistern base. A rolling ring (22) seals the two supports. The end support has two ring grooves. The support pipe has guide ribs (20). The discharge valve is operated by a vertical pressure movement. The cistern is mainly tubular, with an internal diameter of approximately 150 mm, and a volume of 3-10 l, but preferably 6 l.
