Energy/load management in on-board electrical system involves determining available peak power before load switch-on, delaying switch-on if insufficient power, increasing power and/or reducing load
Energy/load management in on-board electrical system involves determining available peak power before load switch-on, delaying switch-on if insufficient power, increasing power and/or reducing load
The method involves supplying a peak power level to the loads in a first phase and rated power in a second phase after switch-on. A controller (14) determines the available peak power before the load (8) is switched on, switch on time is delayed if there is insufficient peak or rated power available, power increasing and/or load reducing measures are carried out and the new load is only switched on if sufficient rated and peak power is available. AN Independent claim is also included for the following: (a) an -board electrical system, especially for a motor vehicle.
