Fleet control method in which actual and forecast journey times are obtained from a directly connected traffic center (20) and used in a vehicle control center for planning whole vehicle journeys where the journeys are comprised of a number of drop-offs or jobs. The method takes into account actual and forecast travel times to make optimized changes to vehicle journeys to allow for added collections and alterations. Independent claims are included for (1) a fleet control system; (2) a corresponding computer program; and (3) a computer program product.
