The rear wall of an aircraft standing (9), where the jet engines are tested, is an acoustic damper with adjustable backdrop blocks (5) forming inflow surfaces (7) and aligned outflow surfaces (8) to carry off the jet streams (10) from the aircraft (1). The gap (6) between the blocks is at least equal to a surface derived by the multiplication of the rear wall width by its height. The rear wall is pitched at an angle of 45-60[deg] against the horizontal.
