A system for matched repair and maintenance planning, having one or more components which are collectively in the position to model a raw-materials-and parts buffer (store), a second buffer for non-usable parts examined at the repair location and found to be repairable there, a quantity of parts made available at the first buffer (store) and contributing to cover the forecast requirement/demand. The latest time is estimated at which the repair process can start with regard to the available parts, in order to contribute in covering the forecast demand or requirement, in which the repair process can be used there to draw these available parts from the second store in the raw-materials and parts store, in order to contribute there in covering the forecast demand. A repair order is planned for these available parts at the estimated latest time and a working plan is made for the repair process, with regard to these available parts. Independent claims are included for (A) a method for matched repair planning and for (B) software for matched repair planning.
