PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a document demand prediction device capable of more easily providing a demand for a document. PSOLUTION: The document demand prediction device 10 predicts a demand for an object document D when the object document D is disclosed as a retrieval object of a document retrieval device 30, and is provided with a past retrieval information database 32 for accumulating and holding past retrieval information which is information on retrieval by the document retrieval device 30, and a document demand prediction part 36 for calculating an object document acquisition probability which is a probability that the object document D is retrieved and acquired when the object document D is disclosed, based on a statistical analysis of the past retrieval information.
