PURPOSE: A smart sensor applying wireless communication and a vibration measuring method thereby are provided to prevent noise and to cut down time and cost by real-time measuring and analyzing vibration with a PDA or a portable terminal. CONSTITUTION: A smart sensor is composed of a sensing unit(10) contacted to the measured object to measure signals from equipments, a signal processing unit(20) converting into analog or digital signals by filtering the signals and real-time processing into FFT(Fast Fourier Transform) signals, a wireless transmitting and receiving unit(30) transmitting and receiving the signals from the signal processing unit through a wireless module, a base unit(40) supporting the sensing unit contacted to the measured object, and a power supply unit(50) supplying power to drive the sensor.
