METHOD FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF PHAGE DISPLAY LIBRARY USING HELPER PHAGE VARIANTS

The present invention relates to a genetically modified helper phage, named Ex-phage, for packaging phagemid vector. For the modification, amber codons are introduced at 5'-region of the helper phage genome by site-directed mutagenesis. The resulted mutant helper phage produces wild-type pIII in suppression strains but not in non-suppression strains. Furthermore, this invention provides a method of preparing phage display library expressing various foreign proteins on the surface of the phages.
