PURPOSE: To provide a method for removing carbon dioxide from exhaust gas, which uses sodium hydroxide instead of using amine-based adsorption solution to adsorb carbon dioxide from the exhaust gas and separates the carbon dioxide using an electro-dialysis stack. CONSTITUTION: The method comprises the steps of: (a) reacting exhaust gas with an aqueous solution of sodium hydroxide to adsorb carbon dioxide therefrom; (b) treating the carbon dioxide adsorbed solution obtained from the step (a) with ion-exchange membrane in an electro-dialysis stack to separate highly concentrated carbonic acid from the sodium hydroxide; and (c) reusing the concentrated sodium hydroxide at an adsorption tower, and using the concentrated carbonic acid to prepare methanol.
