PURPOSE: A system for correcting the position of a vehicle is provided to obtain more accurate position and speed of the vehicle when the vehicle drives in the tunnel and the strong interference region. CONSTITUTION: A system for correcting the position of a vehicle includes a global positioning system(GPS) reception unit(100), an acceleration sensing unit(200), a gyro sensor unit(300) and a position compensation unit(400). The GPS reception unit receives the position information of vehicle from the satellite. The acceleration sensing unit detects the driving speed of the vehicle during the driving of the vehicle. The gyro sensor unit detects the traveling direction of the vehicle. And, the position compensation unit calculates the position information compensated by estimating the errors of the vehicle position from the information of the GPS reception unit, the acceleration sensing unit and the gyro sensor unit.
