Dielectric porcelain composition for high-frequency applications, with a main component on the basis of xmgo · yal2O3·zsio2, with the molar composition 10 ≦ x ≦ 40, 10 ≦ y ≦ 40,20 ≦ z ≦ 80 and x + y + z = 100, as well as further small proportion of strength metal oxide - additives, characterized in that the additives in the form of0 – 0,1 - Parts by weight of alkali metal - oxides per 100 parts by weight of the principal constituentand0,1 – 15 W - parts of an oxide of a rare earth element per 100 parts by weight of the principal constituent, are present, wherein in addition to the primary phase of the complex oxide (α - phase cordierite) a β - phase of the cordierite is present, the by the ratio of the intensities of the (241) - and (222) - plane of the x-ray diffraction with 0,8 ≦ β (241) / β (222) ≦ 1,3is fixed.
