The plastics box or crate has a base, four side walls with handle holes (2) and a carrying handle (4) which runs through the holes and is strengthened with ribs (5). Between the outside wall of the carrying handle and the inward facing ribs on the handle is a gas-injected hollow chamber (10) which extends lengthwise over the entire rib field. the hollow chamber can be curved, wider nearer the ends and can extend into the corners of the box.
