The motor has a rotor (10) with a magnetic assembly (34) including a set of poles. A short circuit device (40) is attached to the assembly, and is arranged to connect two adjoining poles of the assembly to produce a rest moment. The device has a magnetic short-circuit sheet plate that is moved in relation to the assembly. The rest moment is adjusted by size of the plate and by distance of the plate to the assembly.
