The products (2) sensitive to impact are flushed out of the silo (3) by means of at least one flume (5) which penetrates the silo wall (8) through an opening (7). The outside of the silo wall , by the opening, has a vertically movable closure-slide-piece (20) guided in a guide resting tightly against the silo wall. Between the slide-piece and silo wall is an intermediate space (25) opening at the top end of the slide-piece. Before the silo is filled with products, water (4) is poured in to dampen their fall. The water level is below the products inserted and is drained off before the products are removed. At the same time flume water is added to discharge the products through the flume.
