The decelerator has a safety guard that comprises a cover (107) and a plate (108) including field coils. The cover and the plate have their faces situated in end planes of the field coils. Cavities of the cover and the plate permit the passage of a drive shaft of a vehicle engine. The cover and the plate include vent holes closer to their outer periphery.
