PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a unit for a wave dissipating structure for easily constructing the wave dissipating structure showing high wave dissipating performance. PSOLUTION: The unit 4 for the wave dissipating structure is formed with a box 5 and piled up or laid on a construction face based on the box shape to easily construct the structure. A surface layer 20 with large porosity is formed with natural stones 16 inside the box 5 of the unit 4 for the wave dissipating structure, and an internal layer 21 with smaller porosity than the surface layer 20 is formed with rubble 7 further inside the surface layer 20 to ensure high wave dissipating performance beforehand based on the internal structure. The wave dissipating structure showing high wave dissipating performance can thereby be easily constructed by using the unit for the wave dissipating structure as a structure component.
