PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a model for evaluating the efficacy of locally applied antiproliferatives or other agents on neointimal hyperplasia, immunohistochemical and vascular cell cycle changes in balloon-injured rat carotid arteries.;SOLUTION: A method for evaluating the pathologies in rat carotid arteries includes steps of endovascularly creating an injury in at least one location within the carotid artery of a rat, and evaluating the pathologies relating to the injury.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
