PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a center phase determination circuit for determining the center phase of a data signal so as to correct irregularities that may occur in the waveform of a data signal for implementation of normal communications.;SOLUTION: The center phase determination circuit for determining the center phase of a data signal, to which n phase serial data is inputted, where n is an integer of 2 or over, comprises a serial/parallel conversion circuit for serial/parallel-converting a data signal and for using each of a plurality of output ports to output parallel data, which is serial/parallel-converted to have a period of n times the data signal; a phase comparison circuit for comparing the phase of parallel data outputted from each of the output ports to detect a phase shift; a counter for counting the number of phase shift detections in each of the output ports by the phase comparison circuit; and a circuit for determining a central phase based on the counted number of the phase shifts that occurred.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI
