The method is for singly harvested flower cultivation, such as Chrysanthemums, Lisianthus and Matricaria and involves the plant being accommodated in a mobile container (8') incorporated in a system for automated changeover of plants. The containers during the growing period of the plants are automatically placed at a mutual distance from each other. Four separate spaces are provided preferably for the growing periods of the cut flowers. During the growing period are accommodated in a carrier which holds between 10 and 20 containers. The plant during its growing period, preferably when it reaches a height of approximately 25 cm, is provided with a support, preferably gauze. A specific watering system is developed in the form of a throughflow space (16) aided by a perforated dividing wall (17). Also a substrate space (15) for root growth is provided per plant.
