The proposed method for determining the modulus of elasticity and the viscosity factor of the ground at three-dimensional deformation consists in placing a weight with a known mass on the ground surface and striking the weight. After the strike, the weight would be displaced in the vertical direction. As a result, the uniaxial compression of the ground would be provided and the vibrations of the ground in the vertical direction would occur that are caused by the elasticity of the ground. The parameters of the vibrations are used to determine the modulus of elasticity and the viscosity factor of the ground. The present invention provides a possibility to enhance the reliability of the test data and the measurement accuracy, since the ground structure is intact in testing and the ground vibrations occur in a single direction.
