DNA expression construct for immunization against leishmaniosis infections, characterized in that the polynucleotide sequences that confer immunization are expression constructs consisting of linear covalent closed deoxyribonucleic acid molecules that have a linear double stranded zone, where the individual strands that they form the double stranded pairing are linked by short single stranded loops of deoxyribonucleic acid nucleotides, wherein said strands consist only of the coding sequence that encodes at least the p36 LACK antigen under the control of a promoter that is put into operation in the animal to which it is to be vaccinated and of a terminator sequence, and wherein the DNA expression construct is covalently linked with one or more oligopeptides to increase the efficiency of transfection and the oligopeptide consists of a number of amino acids ranging from 3 to 30, of which at less than half are basic amino acids of the group formed by arginine or lysine.
