The present invention relates to a method for producing a microcrystalline cadmium selenide (CdSe) film by using an electrodeposition method, sodium citrate (Na 3 C 6 H 5 O 7 · 3H 2 O) in a solution of cadmium sulfate (CdSO 4 ) The pH was adjusted to 7-9 by adding an aqueous solution, and then mixed with an aqueous solution of sodium selenite sulfite (Na 2 SeSO 3 ), followed by immersing a counter electrode and a working electrode and applying a voltage thereto. According to the electrodeposition method of the present invention comprising a simple, high-quality cadmium selenide film having a fine hexagonal crystal structure can be easily produced, this film is useful as an electrode in the process of converting light energy into electrical or chemical energy do.
