The mounting is for a telescopic shock absorber or spring strut and wishbone of a wheel suspension on the structure of a motor vehicle, whereby the brackets (2) of the wishbone are fastened to the bracket (1) of the spring strut. The wishbone brackets are closed and have openings through which the upper wishbone or wishbone holder (4) can emerge, and the external contours of the wishbone brackets are adapted to the contours of the spring strut bracket upon which the wishbone brackets are fastened.
