The system has a pre-drilling tool and a thread manufacturing tool, where diameter (DV) of the pre-drilling tool is smaller than diameter (DG) of the thread manufacturing tool. The thread manufacturing tool is a thread chamfering tool (1). The thread chamfering tool essentially consists of HSS. The thread chamfering tool is coated with TiN or another hard material layer suitable for the treatment of steel. An independent claim is also included for a thread production method.
