The passenger car has an opening in car body (3) which can be closed by a pivotable part (1), in particular a hatchback with rear window. The hatchback is fixed to the car body using a hinge (4) which has a stopping face (5) to align the hatchback opposite the car body. The stopping face lies inside the hatchback, which in turn has an assembly hole (6) near the stopping face. When the hatchback is closed and sight opening is open, the assembly hole is accessible through the sight opening from the exterior of the car. An independent claim is also included for the method of connecting the hatchback to the car body.
