Optical module for rapid optical communication, has mount with resistor whose value is less than impedance value obtained by subtracting diode`s resistance from source`s impedance, and capacitor coupled in parallel on mount`s series circuit
The module has an auxiliary mount (7) with an adaptation resistor whose value is less than an impedance value obtained by subtracting the resistance of a laser diode (8) from the impedance of a differential signal source. A capacitor is connected in parallel on a series circuit, formed on the auxiliary mount, constituted of a connecting wire, the laser diode and the adapter resistor connected in series. The mount is coupled to interconnection substrates (5a, 5b) by respective connecting wires (9a, 9b). The substrates are disposed at the positions corresponding to connection terminals (3a, 3b). The inductance of the wires and terminals is compensated by adjusting the capacitance of the capacitor.
