PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a prediction method and a prediction device of a fatigue crack development behavior having high reliability in consideration of dispersion of various influential factors.;SOLUTION: A probability distribution is determined by performing statistical processing of a measured value or a calculated value of a parameter necessary for calculation of the fatigue crack length, and a parameter combination for performing Monte Carlo method is formed, and heat and stress analysis is performed, and a fatigue crack development curve is determined by using a crack development speed expression acquired by synthesizing two kinds of crack development speeds, and a probability distribution of the fatigue crack length is acquired. One of the two kinds of crack development speeds depending only on the number of times of start/stop is determined based on a crack development test result unaccompanied by stress retention. The other not depending on the number of times of start/stop but depending on a continuous operation time between start and stop is determined based on a high-temperature oxidation test result of a component constituting material.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
