PSOLUTION: In the RE-Ba-Cu-based oxide superconductive long body, a superconductive layer formed of an RE-Ba-Cu-based oxide is formed on a metal base material through a buffer layer. The RE-Ba-Cu-based oxide superconductive long body is characterized in that the Ba composition of the RE-Ba-Cu-based oxide is smaller than a stoichiometric composition, and excels in a critical current density characteristic.
