NOVEL METHOD FOR DISCRIMINATING BILLS OF ADVANCED WORLD MAJOR COUNTRIES

Provided is a method which can be incorporated into a purse, a mobile telephone or a discriminating device thereby to prevent counterfeit bills from circulating in the end distribution environments. In this method, the image of a portrait or architecture on a bill or a special printed manner is irradiated, at an angle of about 0 to 30 degrees relative to the bill, with a beam of an LED having a converged directivity. The reflection is visually observed at an angle within a predetermined range from that specified direction, so that the intaglio or relief print applied to the portrait or architecture can be clearly confirmed.
